Curiosity’s first tracks on Mars.

Curiosity made its first driving movements on August 22, consisting of forward, turn, and reverse movements. The total motion placed it at about 6 meters away from its initial landing position. The drive was primarily intended as a way to test Curiosity’s mobility, and the results show that the driving system is fully functioning.
